My
continual problem is having to do everything myself; layout the catalogue, design
build and maintain this website (explains it all, does that), build rods, make
traces and jigs, sort out and pack orders, find new products and make sure that
they are up to the job by going out and fishing with them. You knew there had
to be a catch somewhere, didn't you! As
with my paper catalogue this website is a hype-free zone and all advice and descriptions
are based on my personal experience. Look out for my stand at the PAC's Piking
2008 event - details
here when confirmed. Happy
fishing! OWING

For
those of you who are unfamiliar with DLST here are a couple of unsolicited quotes
which I feel describe my business perfectly...
"Personal service from
David Lumb, with straightforward advice, he uses the tackle he sells, handmade
rods that really work with customised build. He stocks a range of lures, his own
range of spinnerbaits and pike-sized jigs, other tackle such as braid, hooks,
etc. Good source of advice on pike and technical baitcasting stuff. He won't commit
himself unless he is sure of his ground. He actually goes fishing so he is not
always in when you call." I
could almost have written that myself! Actually it comes totally unsolicited from
Dave Pugh on his Lure Fishing UK web site. "DL
Specialist Tackle: Proprietor Dave Lumb. Small, but growing range of specialist
piking gear. Dave's custom rod building service is second to none for both bait
and lure rods. Advice also freely given." So
said Mark Ackerley in an internet article on pike tackle.
You can be guaranteed that
I have paid neither of the above quoted gentlemen a penny to make these comments!
